South Coast Plaza: Free Movie Mondays

The Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts in Costa Mesa is doing its free Movie Mondays series again this summer.
The “Free For All” movies start at 8 p.m.  You don’t need tickets, just show up.
You can bring your own picnics, but no barbecue equipment. You can also buy a meal from Patina Catering.
You can pay to park, look for the small amount of street parking available or park at the South Coast Plaza and walk over (which is frowned upon, I’m sure, by the South Coast Plaza people).
This summer’s movies include the following:
Where: The Performing Arts Center’s community plaza with the films projected on the side of Segerstrom Hall, 600 Town Center Drive Costa Mesa, (714) 556.2121
When: approximately 8 p.m.
Cost: Free
What to bring: beach chairs or other portable seating items, blankets, etc.

Philippe’s to Host Seventh Annual Free Chili Day Posted on  01/03/2017 Every January since 2011, Philippe’s has been teaming up with Dolores Chili to offer patrons a little something free. It’s become more and more popular and the day many have waited for is finally here, Philippe’s will host the seventh annual Free Chili Day. The first 500 customers at Philippe’s on Tuesday, Jan. 24 beginning at 10:30 a.m. will receive a voucher for a free cup of Dolores chili, with the purchase of a sandwich. Guests will receive a voucher at one of the two main entrances upon arriving to the restaurant. They can then use that at the counter to get a free cup of chili, with or without beans, and topped with shredded cheddar cheese, or onions.
