Old Pasadena Film Festival 2013 (July 5-27)

The Old Pasadena Film Festival, a four-week, free movie series, returns July 5 – 27. This mostly outdoor film festival celebrates motion picture in all ofits forms, showcasing a variety of audience-pleasing movie titles and genres. With twenty screenings, the Old Pasadena Film Festival is the largest open-air film festival in California. The Old Pasadena Film Festival gives attendees the unique experience of enjoying four weeks of award-winning cinema in unique outdoor spaces. All Old Pasadena Film Festival screenings are free and open to the public. Arrive early for best seating at One Colorado Courtyard and Distant Lands, where chairs are provided. Bring your own chairs and blanket to Central Park screenings. Take advantage of the warm summer evenings and come out and join the community enjoying a film together. Free For All Movie Mondays

When: Monday, July 8, 2013 6:00 pm -  August 5, 2013 9:00 pm Where:Segerstrom Hall 600 Town Center Dr Costa Mesa, CA 92626 The films are shown on a screen on the side of Segerstrom Hall, so everyone has a great view. You can bring a picnic (no barbeques or hibachis, please), or snacks can be purchased from vendors on the plaza. Bring your pillows, beach chairs, picnic blankets and settle in for a spectacular movie experience under the stars. MONDAY, JULY 8TH: THE WEDDING SINGER The Wedding Singer, a delightful comedy starring Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. Set in 1985, Sandler plays a wedding singer who is jilted at the altar. He and Barrymore, a waitress at the reception hall where Sandler performs, become friends and he even double dates with Drew and her fiancĂ©, but their feelings for each other soon become confused. Who will end up marrying who? Billy Idol fans will love his cameo, and of course Idol's "White Wedding" is part of the soundtrack. MO
